Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Sleeper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes into the arena with Stemm - "Face the Pain" blaring out of the sound system. Sleeper has chosen Love me Sexy as his entrance music. Tyler Sleeper told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Sleeper!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sleeper swats away the attempt to clinch by Liddell.
Sleeper throws a nice head kick!
Sleeper shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sleeper wants to get back to his feet but Liddell is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sleeper wants to sweep here but Liddell controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liddell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

and Sleeper counters with a left and a right that stings Liddell.
Nice straight punches there by Sleeper. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sleeper.

Liddell darts in and clinches Sleeper up against the cage.
Liddell misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sleeper throws a knee to the head but misses.
Sleeper wants to break free but Liddell has control.

Liddell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sleeper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Liddell throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sleeper.
Chuck Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck for Sleeper with that takedown attempt.
Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Sleeper.

Sleeper tries to keep at a distance but Liddell has taken the fight into the clinch.
Liddell keeps control of Sleeper as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sleeper wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sleeper wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Liddell turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Liddell decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sleeper to his feet.

Sleeper scores a takedown into full mount!

Liddell is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Liddell is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Sleeper thowing shots but they're missing.
Sleeper sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Chuck Liddell will probably get the nod.

Liddell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Liddell swats away the attempt to clinch by Sleeper.
Liddell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Liddell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Liddell.

Liddell fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sleeper is out of range.
Sleeper scores with a shot to the body.
Liddell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chuck Liddell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sleeper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sleeper off to one side.

Sleeper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Liddell. That did some damage!

Liddell has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Liddell has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Good leg kick by Sleeper there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chuck Liddell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Liddell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
