Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carson Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tj Dillashaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carson Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tj Dillashaw!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dillashaw instigates a clinch.
Johnson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Johnson wants to stall.
Johnson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dillashaw prevents it.
Dillashaw tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Johnson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Johnson is looking to take this one to the mat.
A frustrated look appears on Dillashaw's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Dillashaw jumps into guard, dragging Johnson to the mat.
Dillashaw throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillashaw keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass.
Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Dillashaw keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
Dillashaw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Johnson wants to pass the guard but Dillashaw is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dillashaw seems keen to control Johnson's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dillashaw shoots in but no luck this time.

Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dillashaw fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Johnson shoots for a takedown but Dillashaw saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dillashaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Dillashaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Dillashaw avoids them all with ease.
Johnson sets himself, and Dillashaw steps forward looking for the clinch! Johnson avoids it this time.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dillashaw tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dillashaw to the ground. Dillashaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dillashaw counters with a stiff right hand.

Dillashaw forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches.
Dillashaw is stalling here.
Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dillashaw walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Johnson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Johnson clinches up with Dillashaw and pushes him back against the cage.
Johnson wants a takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dillashaw smiles and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dillashaw throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dillashaw off to one side.
Johnson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Dillashaw looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Johnson enables Dillashaw to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Johnson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dillashaw slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dillashaw moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dillashaw looking for a sweep. Not yet Dillashaw, not yet.
Dillashaw has a closed guard, preventing Johnson from standing up.
Dillashaw is pulling down on Johnson's head to control his posture.
Johnson wanted to stand there but Dillashaw had control of the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dillashaw bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard.

Johnson is trying to control the position but Dillashaw postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tj Dillashaw will probably get the nod.
That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dillashaw is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Dillashaw shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.
Dillashaw throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Johnson dives in and scores a takedown into Dillashaw's guard.

Dillashaw wriggles free and stands up.

Dillashaw closes the distance and clinches.
Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dillashaw just stands there and leans against the cage.

Johnson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dillashaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dillashaw pushing down on Johnson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Dillashaw gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Dillashaw tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes.

Dillashaw throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.

Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dillashaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.

Dillashaw throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Dillashaw finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Tj Dillashaw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Tj Dillashaw is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Johnson is working an open guard so Dillashaw takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

I've got Dillashaw winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
