The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner gets caught flat footed, as Sobrante shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sobrante slips nicely into half guard.
Sobrante passes the guard and advances to mount!
Sobrante is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Banner has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Banner is desperately trying to improve his position but Sobrante has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Banner is looking to get to half guard.
Sobrante is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Banner can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Banner wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Sobrante has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Banner taps furiously! This one is all over!
