Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stan Winner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pertsa Perarantanen!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winner slips a straight right by Perarantanen.
Winner misses with a looping right.
Winner throws an overhand right that lands on Perarantanen's shoulder, as Perarantanen tries to avoid the shot.
Perarantanen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Winner as he jumps to the side.

Winner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Perarantanen trying to control the position from guard on top but Winner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Winner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Perarantanen manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Winner lands a couple of elbows.
Perarantanen wants to stand up but Winner is controlling him.
Winner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Winner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Winner sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Perarantanen's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Winner has Perarantanen up against the cage in a clinch.
Winner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Perarantanen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Winner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Perarantanen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Perarantanen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Perarantanen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Winner smiles and moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Perarantanen but Perarantanen pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Perarantanen can do anything to dispel that myth.
