The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Snow manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Snow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Snow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Snow has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Snow is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Snow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
