Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Assad Abdullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosma Svendsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Svendsen's choice of entrance music: Rocky. Cosma Svendsen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Assad Abdullah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cosma Svendsen!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdullah shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Svendsen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Svendsen has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Abdullah is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Abdullah is trying to drag Svendsen to the mat but Svendsen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Abdullah tries to pull guard but Svendsen holds him up against the cage and eventually Abdullah drops back down to his feet.
Svendsen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Abdullah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Svendsen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Svendsen tries to free his leg and advance position but Abdullah is retaining full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Svendsen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Svendsen wanted to stand there but Abdullah had control of the position.
Svendsen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Svendsen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Abdullah has his foot on Svendsen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Svendsen works his way back into a safe position though.
Svendsen wants to control from the top but Abdullah keeps moving.
Svendsen throws an elbow that misses. Abdullah uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Svendsen's guard. Nice move by Abdullah!

Abdullah might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Abdullah slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Abdullah tries for a kimura but Svendsen is defending well.

Abdullah is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Svendsen is trying to escape and Abdullah transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Svendsen is forced to tap! Nice work there by Abdullah! Very nice indeed!
