Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith instigates a clinch.
Oneil is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Oneil fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Oneil drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad Oneil. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Smith manages to end up in side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oneil tries to escape but Smith is in control.

Oneil is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Smith is controlling him well.
Oneil really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith has hold of Oneil's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Oneil tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Smith cranks the arm and Oneil screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Oneil, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
