Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asa Sango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fist Of Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fist Of Steel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Asa Sango!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fist Of Steel!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sango swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sango had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steel defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sango is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sango is looking to advance position but Steel has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Sango tries to lock up and control but Steel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sango sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That's time! Sango's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Sango drives through and clinches with Steel against the cage.
Steel gets through Sango's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Sango is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Sango drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Steel dives on top into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sango wants to sweep but no luck.

Steel wants to control but Sango is keeping busy.
You can see the frustration on Sango's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Steel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Sango in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Sango stands up and waves to Steel to follow him.
Steel shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sango eats them both and turns towards Steel to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Steel has Sango up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Steel throws a punch but it's blocked by Sango.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fist Of Steel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Sango tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Steel just stands there and leans against the cage.

Sango blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Sango breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sango fails with the takedown.

Sango fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Steel, pushing him back against the cage.
Sango tries to work over Steel's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Steel has a couple of punches blocked by Sango.
Steel avoids the elbow strike from Sango, against the cage.
Steel lands with a short shot to the head.
Steel fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Steel throws a punch but it's blocked by Sango.
Steel lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Sango blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Sango is looking to take this one to the mat.
A short right from Steel.

Sango breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sango misses the shot to the body.
Fist Of Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sango gets the takedown into side control.
Asa Sango overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sango taking a break here but Steel is having none of it and regains half guard.
Steel is refusing to be controlled, as Sango sits in half guard.

I would just about give that final round to Fist Of Steel.
I think Steel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
