Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oswald Jokinen!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Topper Green and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stevens throws a nice looking combination but Jokinen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jokinen moves into range and connects with a jab.
Stevens ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jokinen moves away.
Jokinen feints and then cracks Stevens's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stevens down.

Jokinen moves into the clinch successfully.
Stevens tries to pull guard but Jokinen holds him up against the ropes and eventually Stevens drops back down to his feet.
Stevens fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevens jumps guard but Jokinen stands there with Stevens around his waist. Stevens gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Stevens feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stevens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stevens shoots in and drives through. Jokinen sprawls well.

and Jokinen counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Jokinen lands a really nice looking cross but Stevens seems unphased.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stevens takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jokinen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stevens has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Jokinen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fighters circle momentarily. Jokinen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Stevens pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jokinen! But no joy.
Oswald Jokinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jokinen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stevens, pushing him back against the ropes.

Jokinen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Stevens shoots in for a takedown but Jokinen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Nice straight punches there by Jokinen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jokinen.

Jokinen is looking to break free of the clinch but Stevens has double underhooks.
Jokinen is pressed up against the ropes. Stevens has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jokinen down to the mat. Jokinen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jokinen's corner calls for a 1-2. Jokinen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Crunch! Jokinen slams his shin into Stevens's torso.
Jokinen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jokinen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Frank Stevens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jokinen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Jokinen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Stevenss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jokinen cracks Stevens with a good jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jokinen clobbers Stevens with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


Stevens is rocked!
Jokinen lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Stevens out cold! Stevens is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the ropes! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Oswald Jokinen!
A relieved looking Oswald Jokinen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
