Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shon York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wang Balisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balisi wants to clinch up but York keeps it at a distance.

Balisi moves into range and clinches up with York.
York controlling the action here for a moment.
Balisi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Balisi misses with a punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

York breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Balisi clinches.

Balisi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Balisi manages to end up in side control.

Balisi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but York sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Balisi tries to stand but York is controlling his head.
York is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Balisi trying to control the action but York is working from the bottom.

Balisi tries for a kimura but York is defending well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
York is not content to let Balisi control the position.
You can see the frustration on York's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
York really is a fat lump.
York gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Balisi is pressing down on York's thigh, looking to free his foot. York is holding on for now.

York regains full guard. Nicely done.
York throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
York lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

York lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Balisi tries to strike from the bottom.
York throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Balisi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
York trying to control the position from guard on top but Balisi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

York gets to his feet. Balisi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

A momentary lapse in concentration from York enables Balisi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. York manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
York has control of Balisi's left arm, preventing Balisi from doing any damage.
York throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
York is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

York working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Balisi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but York is tightening it up a little... Balisi has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Balisi reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Balisi taps out! Nice BJJ there by York!
