Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cory Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eleone Simonato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eleone Simonato will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simonato looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Meyer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Simonato fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Simonato looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Meyer feints and then cracks Simonato's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Simonato down.

Meyer lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Simonato's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Meyer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Simonato scrambles back to his feet.

Simonato sneaks out the side door and pushes Meyer away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
