Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neal Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spaz McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spaz McGee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Neal Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spaz McGee!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brewer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McGee is in Brewer's guard.
Brewer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McGee is controlling him.
McGee pushing down on Brewer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
McGee drops an elbow to the side of Brewer's head.

McGee is working for an americana but Brewer has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst McGee was thinking about the submission.
Brewer wants to stand up but McGee is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brewer wants to sweep here but McGee controlling him for the moment.

McGee controls from within his opponent's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McGee tries to stand but Brewer is controlling from the bottom.
Brewer wants to get back to his feet but McGee is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Brewer wants to sweep here but McGee controlling him for the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brewer shoots for a takedown but McGee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McGee tries a quick counter leg kick but Brewer is wise to it.
Brewer throws a right hand that McGee ducks under and follows up with a left that McGee also avoids with ease.
McGee shoots in looking for a takedown but Brewer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McGee lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Brewer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGee is fending him off so far but Brewer persists. Nope, McGee circles away and we're back to standing.

McGee moves into the clinch successfully.
McGee tries to pull guard but Brewer won't allow it.

McGee has Brewer pressed against the cage, preventing Brewer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Brewer is trying to break the clinch but McGee is controlling him.
Brewer can't break the clinch.
McGee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Neal Brewer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spaz McGee.
Brewer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

McGee breaks the clinch.

McGee rushes Brewer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McGee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
McGee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brewer smiles and moves away.

McGee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Brewer looking for a sweep. Not yet Brewer, not yet.

McGee trying to control the position from guard on top but Brewer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brewer wants to stand and escape but McGee is having none of it.

McGee looking to sit in guard and control but Brewer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

McGee has an active guard here but Brewer has managed to pass into half guard.

Brewer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brewer is looking to counter with head kicks.

Brewer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
McGee wants to get back to his feet.

Brewer thows a huge punch but McGee dodges it nicely.

McGee defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Brewer.

Brewer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… McGee turns into him and now he's in Brewer's guard.

Brewer manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Brewer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brewer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McGee is breathing heavily.
Brewer shoots in looking for a takedown. McGee tries to sprawl out of it but Brewer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Brewer takes the fight into the clinch.

Brewer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

McGee shoots for a double leg takedown but Brewer sprawls well. He's pushed McGee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Neal Brewer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spaz McGee.
McGee leaves Brewer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Brewer throws a front kick aimed at McGee's knee but McGee avoids it well.
Despite the aggression on McGee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Spaz McGee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McGee pushes off an throws an elbow but Brewer leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Brewer has control of McGee's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McGee regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brewer looking to control and managing it successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McGee is trying desperately to improve position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Neal Brewer.
I think Brewer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
