Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brady Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chico Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sanchez checks a leg kick nicely.
Burns lands a nice looking kick to the body. Sanchez takes a step back to recover.
Sanchez throws a chopping leg kick but Burns manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A bone on bone clash there as Sanchez blocks the leg kick.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burns as he avoids it easily.
Sanchez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burns throws a front kick aimed at Sanchez's knee but Sanchez avoids it well.
Burns lands a leg kick that knocks Sanchez off balance momentarily.

Burns gets caught flat footed, as Sanchez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Burns is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanchez defends well.
Burns might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanchez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Burns controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself.
Sanchez is fighting to break Burns's control of his arms but Burns is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Sanchez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Burns is on top in guard.

Burns is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Burns is taking a breather. Sanchez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
