The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gennero with a nice cross.
Bennet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gennero takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Bennet feints and then cracks Gennero 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gennero down.
Gennero connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bennet throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Gennero cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gennero uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bennet.

Gennero throws the kick towards the body but Bennet avoids it.

and Gennero cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gennero throws a front kick aimed at Bennet's knee but Bennet avoids it well.
Bennet seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Gennero scores with a one two! Bennet had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Bennet throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Bennet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gennero flicks out a counter leg kick but Bennet steps away.
Gennero looks to land a right hand but Bennet moved out of range.
Gennero closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Gennero looks to land a body kick but Bennet moved away.
Bennet throws a leg kick but Gennero sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Gennero throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bennet sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ed Gennero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gennero missing with a left hand there. Bennet was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bennet. Gennero does a little dance to reset his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gennero is rocked!
Gennero gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Bennet points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Gennero wakes up just in time to hear Bennet thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
