Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daren William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JP Smoove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JP Smoove will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smoove throws a head kick but William moves out of range.

Smoove closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. William quickly recovers to half guard.
Smoove wants to lay and pray for a moment but William keeps working.

Smoove seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
William is staying active underneath Smoove, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

William is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Smoove is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A combination from Smoove does no damage.

William closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Smoove did well to prevent William getting side control.
Smoove has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. William is working away from the top position though.
