Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Palmer Roberson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Asyong Salonga!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salonga closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Roberson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Salonga is trying to maintain a safe position but Roberson gets an underhook and turns Salonga into the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Salonga wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The referee is keeping an eye on Roberson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roberson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Salonga tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Roberson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Salonga wants to stand and escape but instead Roberson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Roberson stands up and waves to Salonga to follow him.

Salonga drives through and clinches with Roberson against the cage.
Roberson keeps control of Salonga as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Roberson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Roberson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Salonga moves into the clinch.

Salonga works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Roberson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Salonga's guard.

Salonga wants to improve his position but instead Roberson has moved into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A close round but Asyong Salonga will probably get the nod.

Salonga gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Roberson regains guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Asyong Salonga seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Salonga pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Salonga tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Roberson avoids it.

Roberson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Salonga clinches.

Salonga wants the takedown. Roberson is fighting it off but Salonga persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Roberson's guard against the cage.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Roberson holds on and takes a little breather.

Roberson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Salonga doesn't defend quickly enough and Roberson has managed to lock this one up! Can Salonga escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Roberson on a fantastic submission victory.
