The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Troumblet fails with the takedown
and Spadoni cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Spadoni jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Troumblet gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Spadoni goes for a takedown attempt but Troumblet pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Troumblet throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Troumblet looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And Spadoni tries to counter it with a takedown but Troumblet pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Spadoni has closed the distance and engaged Troumblet in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spadoni throws a front kick aimed at Troumblet's knee but Troumblet avoids it well.
