Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergiu Petrescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Archer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone . I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer avoids the body shot from Petrescu.
Petrescu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Petrescu blocks the body kick.
Archer throws a sloppy body shot
and Petrescu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Petrescu looks to throw the jab but Archer is out of range.
A shot to the liver by Archer. Beautiful body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Archer.
Archer pivots, looking for a leg kick but Petrescu is out of range and Archer settles back down.
A head kick by Archer misses
and Petrescu counters with a thumping low kick.
Archer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Petrescu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrescu doesn't manage to clinch there - Archer circles away.
Archer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Archer looks to land a left hand but Petrescu moved out of range nicely.
Petrescu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Archer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Archer only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Archer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Petrescu dips to his left and cracks Archer with an uppercut!
Archer throws a front kick that sends Petrescu stumbling back into the cage.
Archer tried to score with a low kick but Petrescu checks it.
Petrescu lands a right hook to the body.
Archer checks a leg kick.
Petrescu sizes up Archer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Archer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Petrescu lands with a hook. Archer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Archer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Petrescu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Petrescu. Archer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Archer throws a solid leg kick but Petrescu takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Archer.
Archer thumps Petrescu with a low kick.

Archer tries to land a front kick but Petrescu steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Petrescu tries to close the distance and clinch but Archer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Archer throws a lazy head kick
and Petrescu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Petrescu swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Archer.
Petrescu misses the jab.
Archer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Archer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Petrescu takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Archer throws a lazy head kick
and Petrescu counters with a head kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Petrescu, right into the meat.
Archer thuds a left hand into Petrescu's body.
Petrescu swings for the body but Archer moves out of range.
Petrescu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Archer counters with a nice body shot.
Archer throws a body kick that misses.
Petrescu is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Petrescu throws a shot from downtown. Archer moves away and avoids it.
Archer lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Petrescu misses the jab.
Petrescu tries to score with a low kick but Archer moves his leg out of the way.
A nice side step and Archer releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Archer scores with a nice body kick.
Petrescu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Archer.
Archer lands a jab to the nose.
Petrescu scores with a nice head shot.
Petrescu throws a right hand that misses
and Archer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Archer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Petrescu's head.
Archer lands a nice shot that snaps Petrescu's head back.

Petrescu is rocked!
A swing and a miss from Petrescu.
Oh Petrescu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Archer lands a nice shot to the body.
Petrescu seems to have got his legs back now.

Petrescu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Archer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Petrescu! Archer lets Petrescu back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Archer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Petrescu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Archer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Archer! Petrescu is backing up but he can't get away as Archer lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Petrescu and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sterling Archer!
