Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Fontaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sucou Bomberman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fontaine comes to the cage accompanied by War ensemble. Sucou Bomberman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Fontaine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sucou Bomberman!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fontaine decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fontaine trying to control the action but Bomberman is working from the bottom.
Bomberman is trying to control but can't.
Fontaine lands with a punch from half guard.
Bomberman wants to get back to his feet.
Fontaine wants to pass the guard but Bomberman is defending well.
Fontaine prevents Bomberman from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bomberman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fontaine.
Bomberman on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Bomberman is trying to control but can't.
Bomberman is trying to get back to full guard.

Bomberman actively working from the bottom here.
Bomberman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fontaine scores with a couple of nice shots.
Fontaine is looking to stall here but Bomberman recovers full guard.

Fontaine with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fontaine distracts Bomberman with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Fontaine stands up over Bomberman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Fontaine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Bomberman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fontaine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fontaine loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bomberman is trying to keep Fontaine in close.
Fontaine has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bomberman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bomberman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fontaine might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fontaine tries to free his leg and advance position but Bomberman is retaining full guard.

Fontaine trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bomberman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice straight punches there by Bomberman. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bomberman.

Fontaine looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Bomberman working for a triangle but Fontaine defends it easily.
Fontaine postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fontaine throws and elbow that misses. Bomberman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fontaine's guard. Nice move by Bomberman!
Bomberman is pushing down on Fontaine's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fontaine is fighting to maintain full guard but Bomberman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Fontaine manages to get to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bomberman trying to control but Fontaine is working from the bottom.
Fontaine scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Bomberman works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bomberman works his way into side control.
Fontaine is trying to get back to half guard.
Bomberman throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Fontaine on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fontaine tries to get out of the position.
Fontaine regains half guard.
Fontaine is looking for a sweep. Bomberman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fontaine is looking to get back to full guard here but Bomberman has managed to pass to side control instead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fontaine is squirming around, avoiding Bomberman's attempts to control the action.
Fontaine is wriggling around trying to escape.

Fontaine is just holding on here. Bomberman manages to take his back.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
I really don't envy Fontaine right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sucou Bomberman will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Fontaine throws a jab but it's blocked by Bomberman.
Fontaine takes one on the button.
Bomberman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Bomberman lands a high kick!
Bomberman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bomberman scores with a nice strike.
Bomberman throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fontaine.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fontaine closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fontaine throwing shots but Bomberman is blocking nicely.
Bomberman won't allow Fontaine to pass to mount.
Bomberman moves into full guard.
Fontaine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bomberman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fontaine postures up in Bomberman's guard and throws a big left but Bomberman blocks it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bomberman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Fontaine should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bomberman has tightened it up now! Fontaine should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sucou Bomberman!
