Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darwingh Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Kyznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuri Kyznetsov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darwingh Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Kyznetsov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Alvarez jumps guard.
Alvarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Alvarez seems keen to control Kyznetsov's posture.
Alvarez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Alvarez wants to get back to his feet but Kyznetsov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kyznetsov postures up in Alvarez's guard and throws a big left but Alvarez blocks it.
Kyznetsov wants to control from the top but Alvarez keeps moving.
Alvarez seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Alvarez working for a triangle but Kyznetsov defends it easily.
Alvarez is looking to stand up but Kyznetsov isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kyznetsov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvarez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kyznetsov has managed to get both his arms back between Alvarez's legs - danger averted.
Alvarez has Kyznetsov pulled in close to control his posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alvarez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Alvarez continues to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kyznetsov preventing the sweep.
Kyznetsov tries to free his leg and advance position but Alvarez is retaining full guard.

Alvarez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kyznetsov is aware though and is defending well.

Kyznetsov is posturing up here but Alvarez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kyznetsov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kyznetsov has to tap! Slick submission there by Alvarez!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Darwingh Alvarez!
