The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Dumitru is just out of range.

Cojocaru Dumitru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dumitru cracks Lee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Dumitru cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dumitru fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lee looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dumitru lands a big right hand that sends Lee crashing to the mat! Dumitru stays standing though and waves Lee back to his feet!
Lee is rocked!

Lee doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Oh Lee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dumitru with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Dumitru scores with a hook to the body. Lee takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dumitru lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Lee up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Dumitru from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Lee's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cojocaru Dumitru !
