Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Pan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Brewer!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pan at a distance.
Sloppy strikes from Pan. Those never looked like landing.
Pan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Brewer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pan moves in looking to clinch but Brewer pushes him off.
Brewer with a jab.
Pan lands a jab-cross combination.
Brewer looks to throw the jab but Pan is out of range.
Pan scores with a punch to the head.

Brewer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pan, pushing him back against the cage.
Pan throws a knee to the head but misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A shot in the inside from Brewer.
Brewer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Brewer avoiding damage as Pan throws knees to the body.
Pan tries a knee to the head but Brewer blocks it.

Pan successfully pulls guard.

Brewer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brewer has managed to get both his arms back between Pan's legs - danger averted.
Brewer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brewer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brewer's guard.

Brewer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Pan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pan wants to pass the guard but Brewer is keeping the position.
Brewer controlling the position.
Pan trying to control but Brewer is working from the bottom.
Pan won't allow Brewer to get back to his feet.
Brewer keeping moving, preventing Pan from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pan drops back looking for a leg! Brewer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brewer manages to kick Pan off! Pan jumps back into Brewer's guard.
Pan passes Brewer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brewer wants to control but Pan is keeping busy.

Pan is trying to work for a kimura but Brewer is defending well.

Pan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Pan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brewer sees it coming and defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pan is trying for a kimura here. Brewer looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Pan wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Peter Pan!
Peter Pan took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
