Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Simeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Simeon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boris Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Simeon!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Simeon enables Brown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Simeon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Brown prevents Simeon from getting back to his feet.
Brown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Brown is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brown advances position into side control!
Brown grinds an elbow into Simeon's temple.
Simeon is trying to control Brown's posture but Brown avoids it.

Brown working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simeon misses with a strike from the bottom.
Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Simeon is trying to get back to half guard.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Simeon is not content to let Brown control the position.
Brown creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Simeon takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Brown landing a few strikes.

Brown decides to stand back up. Brown steps back and let's Simeon get back to his feet.
Simeon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brown keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Simeon gets caught flat footed, as Brown shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Brown throws a big elbow that misses.
Brown passes Simeon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brown wants to free his trapped foot but Simeon is holding on for dear life with his legs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Simeon is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
