Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chance Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Machan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Machan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chance Bennett's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Machan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bennett as he jumps to the side.
Machan takes one on the button.
Bennett tests Machan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bennett seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bennett shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Machan eats them both and turns towards Bennett to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bennett lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Richard Machan has been cut.

and Machan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bennett's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Machan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Machan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bennett's head.

Let's hope that Machan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Machan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Machan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bennett's head.
Machan wants to work for an arm triangle but Bennett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Chance Bennett will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bennett sizes up Machan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Machan counters with a single leg into guard. Bennett didn't expect that.
Machan stands up over Bennett, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
