The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ZIG doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Nice body punch from Samoan Warrior.
Samoan Warrior catches ZIG napping and connects with a big right hand that sends ZIG to the canvas!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

ZIG wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Samoan Warrior is now in half guard.
Samoan Warrior takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
ZIG trying to hold on to Samoan Warrior's head to control him but Samoan Warrior postures up.
Samoan Warrior tries to pass the half guard into mount. ZIG knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Samoan Warrior takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Samoan Warrior looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Samoan Warrior looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks ZIG with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Samoan Warrior frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

ZIG tries to lock up and control but Samoan Warrior gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Samoan Warrior fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Samoan Warrior tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Freddie Samoan Warrior just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
ZIG ducks straight into an uppercut from Samoan Warrior and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - ZIG maanges to regain guard straight away.
Samoan Warrior not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Samoan Warrior controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

ZIG is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Samoan Warrior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. ZIG swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Samoan Warrior throws a series of punches but ZIG avoids them all with ease.
Samoan Warrior throws a right and a left that both miss.

ZIG closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Samoan Warrior controls the position for a moment.
Samoan Warrior is looking to reverse the position.
Samoan Warrior is working hard here to advance position.
ZIG is breathing heavily.

ZIG is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Samoan Warrior has escaped the position, nice work there.

ZIG misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
ZIG wants to stand but Samoan Warrior has his arm trapped.
You can see the frustration on Samoan Warrior's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from ZIG.
A left lands for Samoan Warrior.
Samoan Warrior throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent ZIG stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Freddie Samoan Warrior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Samoan Warrior dances in with a quick combination. ZIG is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Samoan Warrior snaps ZIG's head back. ZIG stumbles backwards against the cage. Samoan Warrior steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with ZIG's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. ZIG just didn't come prepared.
