Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nanu Negi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Negi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blue eyes kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Nanu Negi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Max Striker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Striker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nanu Negi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker throws a sloppy head kick

so Negi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Negi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Striker is keeping the position for now.

Striker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Negi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Striker's head.
Negi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Negi postures up.
Negi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Negi is in close to Striker's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Striker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Negi!

Striker gets a takedown into half guard.
Negi tries to get to full guard but Striker has control of the leg.
Negi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Striker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Striker is breathing heavily.

Negi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Negi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Striker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Negi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Negi is trying to work for a kimura but Striker is defending well.
Striker wants to get back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Negi lands a nice short elbow.
Negi wants to take a breather but Striker is having none of it.
Striker looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Negi prevents Striker from improving his position.
Negi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Negi connects with a nice short shot to Striker's temple.
Striker wants to get back to his feet.

Negi is trying to control the action in half guard but Striker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Negi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Striker is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
