Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mats Thoreson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyons throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thoreson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thoreson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lyons throws out the jab.
Lyons misses with a series of wild punches.
Thoreson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lyons checks a low kick from Thoreson.
Thoreson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lyons pinned against the cage. Lyons gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thoreson moves away from the strike by Lyons.
Thoreson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lyons will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lyons throws a low kick but Thoreson avoids it.
Lyons throws a leg kick that misses.
Lyons uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Lyons lands with an uppercut that bounces Thoreson off the cage and back into range.
Thoreson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lyons counters with a crisp one two that drops Thoreson! Lyons thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Thoreson to his feet! Thoreson is in big trouble!
Hannibal Lyons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mats Thoreson.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thoreson with a poor takedown
and Lyons scores with a counter punch that sends Thoreson to the canvas! Lyons smells blood - he's punishing Thoreson with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Thoreson has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

A less than humble Hannibal Lyons misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
