PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boa Constrictor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamcha Susanoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamcha Susanoo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Constrictor moves out of range of the strikes.
Constrictor does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Constrictor swinging wilding here.
Susanoo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Constrictor's sensitive parts.
Susanoo scores with a jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Constrictor lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Susanoo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Susanoo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Constrictor throws and low kick but Susanoo moves out of range easily.
Susanoo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Constrictor checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A jab from Susanoo finds it's way through Constrictor's defenses.
Constrictor takes one to the chin there.
Constrictor takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Constrictor slips a straight right by Susanoo.
Constrictor fails with the takedown.

Constrictor feints and as Susanoo raises his hands in defense, Constrictor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Constrictor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Susanoo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Susanoo is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Susanoo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Constrictor is breathing heavily.
Susanoo moves away from the strike by Constrictor.
Susanoo scores with a jab.
Constrictor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Susanoo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Constrictor missing with knees to the body.
Constrictor can't break the clinch.

Susanoo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Constrictor swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Susanoo.
Some bone on bone action there as Constrictor checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Yamcha Susanoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Susanoo scores with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Susanoo lands a big uppercut and Constrictor crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Constrictor looks OK.

Constrictor is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Constrictor looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Oh Constrictor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Constrictor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Constrictor wants to get back to full guard.
Constrictor seems to have got his legs back now.

Constrictor is defending against the submission attempts here by Susanoo.
Susanoo prevents Constrictor from improving his position.

Susanoo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Constrictor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Constrictor is looking to control Susanoo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Constrictor avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Susanoo throws a leg kick but Constrictor checks it.
Susanoo lands a jab to the head.
Susanoo checks the leg kick.
Constrictor circles away from the clinch attempt.
Susanoo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Constrictor manages to avoid it.
Susanoo drops Constrictor with a right and a left! Susanoo comes rushing in but Constrictor regains his composure and manages to keep Susanoo in guard.
Susanoo wants to control from the top but Constrictor keeps moving.

Susanoo stands up from Constrictor's guard - Susanoo perhaps looking for a knockout.
Susanoo throws a nice looking combination but Constrictor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Susanoo misses with a leg kick
and Constrictor counters with a nice kick to the body.

Constrictor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Constrictor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boa Constrictor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Constrictor takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Constrictor swats away the attempt to clinch by Susanoo.
Constrictor takes one to the side of the head.
Susanoo drops Constrictor with a left right combo! Susanoo follows him down to the ground into side control.

Susanoo decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Yamcha Susanoo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Susanoo walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Constrictor drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Susanoo swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Constrictor's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
