And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Wills!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Watson and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrick fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As Fredrick backs off Wills throws a huge counter combo but Fredrick manages to avoid it all.
Fredrick tests Wills's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Fredrick shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fredrick was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wills is looking to regain half guard here but Fredrick keeps moving and retains side control.

Fredrick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fredrick connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wills some visible discomfort.
Wills tries to escape but Fredrick is in control.

Wills is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wills takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Fredrick looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Fredrick connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wills some visible discomfort.

Fredrick has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wills is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fredrick yanks on the arm and Wills is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fredrick.
