Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Marak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Pettipas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marak kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Templars of Steele - Hammer Fall. Pettipas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mull River Shuffle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pettipas as he avoids it easily.

Marak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Marak is chipping away with strikes.

Marak is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pettipas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Marak looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pettipas can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marak is working to tighten is grip on Pettipas's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pettipas has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Marak is really squeezing tight and eventually Pettipas passes out! Marak breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
