The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malainen has Yates up against the cage in a clinch.
Malainen misses with a short punch on the inside.

Yates pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Good shot there by Malainen.

Ralph Yates's cut is getting worse.

Malainen moves into range and clinches up with Yates.
Yates blocking some punches.
Malainen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A head punch on the inside from Yates fails to land.
Yates fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Yates is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Malainen.

Yates is rocked!
Malainen throws a head punch that misses.
Oh Yates is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Malainen throws a punch but it's blocked by Yates.
Malainen blocking some punches.
Malainen misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Malainen.
Yates has had enough of the clinch but Malainen keeps him there for the moment.
Yates seems to have got his legs back now.
Malainen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malainen has a couple of punches blocked by Yates.
Malainen unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Yates! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Malainen is unloading with more strikes now! Yates drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
