Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirul Mail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mirul Mail enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mac Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mirul Mail!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mail closes the distance looking to clinch
and Harris counters with a nice uppercut.
Mail throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Harris makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mail really felt that one!
Mail misses with a head kick.
Mail displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Harris throws out the jab.
Mail looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

It looks like Mac Harris has been cut.
Mail wants to clinch but Harris slips to the side

and Harris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Harris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Mail trying to control the position.
Mail is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mail is pulling down on Harris's head to control his posture.
Harris postures up.
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Harris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Harris lands with a good body shot.
Mail shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harris as he avoids it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harris delivers a nice body kick.
Mail on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Mail tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Harris to counter with a crisp jab.
Mac Harris is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mail misses with a combination

and Harris holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Mail looks winded!
Mail stalling in the clinch but Harris improves position.
Harris on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Harris successfully pulls guard.
Harris wants to stand and escape but Mail is having none of it.
Mail's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Harris has his feet on Mail's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mail has his takedown stuffed
and Harris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mirul Mail seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris scores with a hook to the body. Mail takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Harris misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harris backing away here, and Mail unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Harris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Harris stops a takedown attempt from Mail.
Mac Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mirul Mail.

Harris turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Harris manages to end up in side control.

Mail sneaks out the side door and pushes Harris away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Harris gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Harris jumps guard and drags Mail to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Mail stops Harris from standing up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris pulls Mail in close to prevent any damage.
Harris wants to stand and escape but Mail is having none of it.
Harris looking for a sweep. Not yet Harris, not yet.
Mail wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.
Mail trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris pulls Mail in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mail tries to stand but Harris is controlling from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mail fails with the takedown
and Harris counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mac Harris dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mac Harris's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Harris clinches.

Harris manages to break the clinch.
Harris jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mail takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mail tries to clinch
enabling Harris to counter with a crisp jab.
Mail throws a lazy head kick
and Harris counters with a straight right hand.
A low kick from Mail is predictable there

and Harris decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mail's guard.

Mail is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Harris presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harris is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mail can't fight it off and eventually Harris manages to take the fight to the floor. Mail looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mail can do to turn this around?

Harris slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Harris throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mail works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mail lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Harris is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mail wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.
Harris lands a decent punch to the body there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Harris pushes Mail off and gets back to his feet.

Mail tries to keep at a distance but Harris has taken the fight into the clinch.

Harris manages to pull guard.
Mail would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mail won't allow Harris to get back to his feet.
Harris can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mail controls the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Harris looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mac Harris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Harris seems keen to control Mail's posture.
Harris keeping moving, preventing Mail from controlling successfully.
Mail is fighting to break Harris's control of his arms but Harris is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mail wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mail is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Harris quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Mail is breathing heavily.
Mail takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Harris pushes Mail up against the cage in a clinch.
Mail tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harris just stands there and leans against the cage.

Harris wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mail stops Harris from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harris working for a triangle but Mail defends it easily.
Mail slips nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mac Harris dominated that second round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Harris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mail.

Harris has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mail's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Mail forces his way into half guard.
Mail sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Harris defending well though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mail tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Mail is thwarting Harris's attempts to control the position.
Harris is refusing to be controlled, as Mail sits in half guard.

Harris manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Mail keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Mail can't break the clinch.
Harris digs a right hand underneath Mail's ribcage. Mail let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Mail is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Harris to keep the fight standing.
Mail takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Harris tries for a takedown but Mail manages to get underhooks.

Mail manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mail has his feet on Harris's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Mac Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mirul Mail.
Mail moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Mail closes the distance and clinches up with Harris, looking for a takedown. Mail pushes Harris against the cage but Harris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mirul Mail is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Harris slips a jab and a cross from Mail.
Harris quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Harris darts in and clinches Mail up against the cage.
Harris fails to pull guard.

Harris gets control of Mail's arms and successfully pulls guard. Harris will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Harris manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Harris clinches with his opponent.
Harris landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Harris manages to pull guard.

Harris is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Harris pushes Mail off and gets back to his feet.

Harris throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Harris fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Harris rushes Mail and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Harris is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Harris avoiding damage as Mail throws knees to the body.

Harris manages to break the clinch.

Mail shoots for a double leg takedown but Harris sprawls well. He's pushed Mail's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Harris scores with a kick to the midsection.
Mail misses with a takedown attempt
and Harris counters with a stiff right hand.
Harris digs a good body shot into Mail's ribs.
Mail takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A left lands for Harris.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mail shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harris sprawls well. Harris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mail gets slowly back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mac Harris showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Harris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
