Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sandy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Souza told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leo Souza!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Souza.
Souza looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jackson gets tackled into the cage by Souza. Souza maintains the clinch.
Souza is trying to break the clinch but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.
Souza breaks the clinch.
Souza shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Souza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Souza closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Souza is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jackson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Souza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And Souza tries to counter it with a takedown but Jackson pushes his down on his head and steps out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jackson lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but Souza has wrist control.
Jackson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Souza avoids it well.
Souza replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Jackson blocks it well.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Souza is looking to get back to his feet here but Jackson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Souza's back.
Souza is trapped and Jackson is scoring with shots to the head and body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Souza is defending well but eventually Jackson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Souza has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
