Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xander Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cezik Cezik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage gets caught flat footed, as Cezik shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cage is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cezik gets to his feet. Cage looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cage tries to sprawl but Cezik drives through with a takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cezik looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cage with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cage is looking to control Cezik's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cage avoid being mounted?
Cezik stands up and beckons Cage to join him on the feet.
Cezik fails to land with a series of punches.
Cage swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cage lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cezik shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cage napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cage tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cezik has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Cage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Cage works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Cezik has closed the distance and engaged Cage in a clinch.
Cezik manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Cezik lands a nice shot to the body.
Cage goes for a takedown attempt but Cezik pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cage throws a right hand that Cezik ducks under and follows up with a left that Cezik also avoids with ease.
Cage throws a big shot that misses.
Cezik blocks a low kick nicely.
Cage fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cezik has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Good exchange - Cage coming out on top.
Cezik misses with a jab, cross combination.
A punch lands to the side of Cezik 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cezik fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cage sprawls well initially but Cezik persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cage tries to roll over but Cezik keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cezik looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Cage tries to get to full guard but Cezik has control of the leg.
Cage might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cezik takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Cage wants to control but Cezik passes into side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cezik stands up and beckons Cage to his feet.
Cage throws a leg kick but Cezik checks it.
A telegraphed right hand from Cage misses the target.
Cezik only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Cezik closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cezik has picked Cage up - he's going for a ride! Cezik dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Cage tries to roll over but Cezik keeps him under control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Cezik counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cage won't be happy with that.
Cezik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cage seems a little lost for a moment, as Cezik dominates the positioning.
Cezik has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cage tries to buck Cezik off but Cezik is having none of it.
Cezik tries to move to mount but Cage blocks the move with his legs.

Cezik looks up at the clock and then as Cage takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cezik smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Cage connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Cezik decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cage is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cezik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cezik's back!

Cage seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cezik does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cage is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cezik sees it coming and defends easily.

Cage fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cezik on the side of the head.
Cezik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cage's guard.
Cage has momentary wrist control but Cezik slips an elbow through the middle.
Cage is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cezik is aware though and is defending well.
Cezik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cezik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cezik avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cezik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cage misses the shot to the body.
Cage throws a right and a left that Cezik avoids nicely.
Cezik throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Cage tries to bum rush Cezik with a series of wild strikes but Cezik uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cezik lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Xander Cage has been cut.

Cezik pushes Cage up against the cage in a clinch.
Cage is looking for a takedown.
Cage has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cezik is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cezik breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cage throws a poor cross that misses
and Cezik counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cage!
Cezik stands up and beckons Cage to his feet.

Cezik pulls guard effortlessly.
Cezik has control of Cage's left arm, preventing Cage from doing any damage.
Cezik is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cage wants to get back to full guard.
Cezik is thwarting Cage's attempts to control the position.

Xander Cage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Cage has his foot on Cezik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cezik works his way back into a safe position though.
