Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yosh Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ward might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Spazz - Crush Kill Destroy. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer lands a head shot.

It looks like Max Ward has been cut.
Hammer tries to clinch there but Ward circles away.
Ward keeps the fight on the outside.

Ward changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hammer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ward tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammer is not content to let Ward control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hammer can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ward works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ward looks up at the clock and then as Hammer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ward smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hammer is rocked!
Ward lands a decent elbow from side control.
Hammer is still in real trouble! Can Ward finish him?
Hammer can't do much from the bottom here.
Ward scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Hammer is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Ward can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
