The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagautinov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gommers.
Bagautinov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gommers lands an overhand right.

and Gommers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Gommers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gommers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Bagautinov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gommers.

Bagautinov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bagautinov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gommers lands a big right hand that sends Bagautinov crashing to the mat! Gommers stays standing though and waves Bagautinov back to his feet!

Gommers throws an overhand right that drops Bagautinov like a sack of potatoes! Gommers dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

After the fight, Abdelaziz Gommers Gommers was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
