Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darwingh Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MamaDu Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bear quickly recovers to half guard.
Alvarez wants to control but Bear is keeping him busy.
Bear tries to get to full guard but Alvarez has control of the leg.
Alvarez slips a nice elbow through Bear's hands, connecting with Bear's forehead.
Bear makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bear.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alvarez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bear seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Alvarez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Alvarez wants to get up but he can't break Bear's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Alvarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alvarez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bear manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alvarez manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bear controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bear postures up in Alvarez's guard and throws a big left but Alvarez blocks it.
