Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Javi Castillejo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tuna Haans!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haans stuffs the takedown attempt from Castillejo. Castillejo gets slowly back to his feet.
Haans throws out a counter right but Castillejo avoids it with no problem.
Haans cracks Castillejo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Castillejo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Haans finish him?
It looks like Javi Castillejo has been cut.
Castillejo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Haans paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Castillejo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Haans feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Castillejos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Castillejo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Haans defends it nicely.
Haans weaves into range and cracks Castillejo right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Castillejo goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Haans is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tuna Haans!
Tuna Haans decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
