Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gus Beach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristian Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gus Beach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cristian Marsh!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Beach as Marsh shoots in.

Beach throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Marsh tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Beach is in Marsh's guard.
Marsh is looking to stand back up but Beach counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Marsh.


Beach escapes and gets back to his feet.

Beach drives through with a takedown into Marsh's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Beach missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Beach is looking to stand up but Marsh won't let him.
Beach throws a big right hand that misses.

Marsh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Marsh has a closed guard, preventing Beach from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marsh tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Marsh has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Beach off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Marsh shoots in for a takedown but Beach shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Marsh with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Beach forces Marsh back against the cage and clinches.

Marsh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marsh fails with a takedown attempt.
Marsh shoots and misses
and Beach counters with a three punch combo that has Marsh backing up. Marsh nods at Beach to acknowledge the strikes.
A head kick misses from Beach.
Marsh unleashes a big counter combination but Beach bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Marsh fails to land with a series of punches.
Marsh looks winded!
Beach avoids the head kick by Marsh.
Beach shoots in looking for a takedown but Marsh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beach's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gus Beach dominated that round.

Marsh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beach sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marsh somewhat.
Beach is looking for a counter combo.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Marsh.
Beach is looking to counter with head kicks.
Marsh looks for the body kick but Beach saw that one coming.

Beach tries to keep at a distance but Marsh has taken the fight into the clinch.
Marsh tries to pull guard but Beach won't allow it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beach is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marsh is controlling him.
Beach has his hands on Marsh's head, controlling the position.
Marsh wants to control from the top but Beach keeps moving.
Beach is trying to keep Marsh in close.

The fighters are battling for position here. Beach manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Beach has his foot on Marsh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marsh works his way back into a safe position though.
Beach wants to sweep here but Marsh controlling him for the moment.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Marsh must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Marsh moves into range and clinches up with Beach.

Marsh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Beach sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gus Beach will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Marsh throws a left and a right that both miss

and Beach decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marsh's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marsh is trying to keep Beach in close.
Beach throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marsh works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Beach's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Marsh is trying to keep Beach in close.

Marsh has an active guard here but Beach has managed to pass into half guard.

Beach is looking to take a break and control but Marsh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Beach is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marsh can do to turn this around?

Beach closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Marsh slaps away a takedown attempt from Beach, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Marsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Marsh defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Beach.
Good work by Marsh as he checks the leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fight stays on the outside here - Beach looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cristian Marsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gus Beach is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gus Beach.
Well Beach has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
