PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pookie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Mayor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jackson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ride The Train. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayor just misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson throws a low kick but Mayor avoids it.
Mayor misses with an uppercut.

Jackson lands a big head kick that sends Mayor tumbling to the mat! Jackson takes a step backwards and waves Mayor back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Tommy Mayor has been cut.
Mayor attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Some bone on bone action there as Mayor checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Mayor chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jackson can pounce on him.
Jackson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Jackson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson scores with a spinning back kick!
Mayor looks winded!
Jackson throws a head kick but Mayor moves out of range.
Jackson throws a low kick but Mayor moves out of range easily.
Jackson keeps Mayor at a distance using the push kick.
Jackson scoring well with a low kick there.
A solid body kick from Jackson.
Jackson swings for the body but Mayor moves out of range.
Jackson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mayor takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson jabs at Mayor's body.
Jackson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mayor gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jackson.

That has opened up Tommy Mayor's cut even more.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jackson.
Mayor throws a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Jackson cracks Mayor with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jackson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mayor to stand back up!

Mayor is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Mayor covering up! Jackson comes in with a big uppercut and Mayor goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
