The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Slice.
Slice lands a nice hook to Jackson's body. Jackson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Slice throws a leg kick that is checked

and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control.
Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slice keeps working.
Slice is looking for a sweep.
Jackson has knee on belly and moves into mount.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson wants to control the pace but Slice is squirming around nicely.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jackson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
