PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Timmy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ohto Alanko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ohto Alanko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Timmy Timmy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ohto Alanko!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alanko fails in his attempt to clinch.
Timmy drops down looking for a counter takedown but Alanko sprawls and moves away.
Alanko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Timmy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Timmy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Timmy closes the distance and pushes Alanko back into the cage.
Alanko lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Timmy wants to get back to striking at distance but Alanko won't allow it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Alanko - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Still in the clinch, Alanko scores with a nice short uppercut.

It looks like Timmy Timmy has been cut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Alanko.
Alanko working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Timmy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Alanko to keep the fight standing.
Stalling in the clinch from Alanko.
Alanko stalls.
Alanko scores with a hook to the body.

Alanko lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Timmy is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Timmy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alanko walks away with a smile on his face. Timmy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Oh Timmy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Alanko takes the fight into the clinch.
Alanko lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Timmy to his knees! Alanko keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ohto Alanko!
A relieved looking Ohto Alanko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
