The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor throws a sloppy head kick and Diaz moves out of range easily.
McGregor throws a solid leg kick but Diaz takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McGregor.
McGregor pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Diaz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for McGregor!
Diaz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear McGregor down.
McGregor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diaz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Diaz tries for a kimura but McGregor is defending well.
Diaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McGregor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
McGregor tries to buck Diaz off but Diaz is having none of it.

McGregor tries to buck Diaz off but Diaz is having none of it.

Diaz decides to stand back up. Diaz steps back and let's McGregor get back to his feet.
Conor McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGregor throws a wild body kick that Diaz sees coming a mile off.
Diaz is looking to counter the offense by McGregor and move into the clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Diaz.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diaz looks up at the clock and then as McGregor takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Diaz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Diaz is chipping away with strikes.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McGregor tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Diaz cranks the arm and McGregor screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McGregor, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
