Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ville Marakatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, This Fire Burns. Marakatti has chosen Beyoncé - Halo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ville Marakatti!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk throws out a loose jab but Marakatti uses good head movement to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Marakatti! But no joy.
Marakatti throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hawk was covering up waiting for the punch and Marakatti finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hawk pushes Marakatti off and gets back to his feet.
We've been told by Hawk's head coaches at Elite Strikers that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hawk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marakatti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hawk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hawk uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hawk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marakatti.

and Hawk counters with a straight right hand.
Hawk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marakatti.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Marakatti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Marakatti closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hawk's guard.
Hawk has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Marakatti has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tim Hawk will probably get the nod.
