Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Stump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mac Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Stump!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Harris has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stump is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Stump working hard to break the clinch.
Stump is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stump jumps into guard, dragging Harris to the mat.
Stump looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Harris puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Stump kicks Harris off and gets back to his feet.
Stump shoots in for a takedown but Harris shows good takedown defense.
Harris changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Jesse Stump seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stump dives in and grabs Harris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes down on Stump's head and hops out.
Harris appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Stump shoots for a takedown but Harris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Harris changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Mac Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Stump.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stump is defended easily by Harris.

Stump closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Harris fails to pull guard.
Stump tries to pull guard but Harris holds him up against the cage and eventually Stump drops back down to his feet.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Harris takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Stump ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stump no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Harris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Harris content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Harris won't allow Stump to sweep him here.
Stump trying to keep a closed guard but Harris is proving a slippery customer.

Harris is looking to work some ground and pound but Stump has wrist control.
Stump is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stump pulls Harris in close to prevent any damage.

Stump is trying to control the position but Harris postures up.
Stump looking for a sweep. Not yet Stump, not yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stump paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Stump gets a clinch.
Harris prevents Stump from breaking the clinch.
Stump has Harris pressed against the cage.
Harris being controlled against the cage.

Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Harris clinches up with Stump and pushes him back against the cage.
Harris is trying to pull guard but Stump has him pressed against the cage.
Stump is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Harris gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Stump ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stump no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Stump looking for a guillotine here but Harris defends easily.
Stump being controlled here, momentarily.
Stump utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stump is trying to control the position but Harris postures up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Harris is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stump.

Stump moves into the clinch.
Stump is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Stump is working Harris over against the cage.
Stump changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Harris fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Harris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Harris wants it to stay on the feet.
Mac Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Stump.
Harris circles away from the clinch attempt.

Stump shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stump was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Harris throws Stump to one side and escapes!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jesse Stump is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Harris moves into the clinch.
Stump stalls.
Harris tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stump just stands there and leans against the cage.

Stump is trying to drag Harris to the mat but Harris just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Stump is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Harris pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Harris tries to pull guard but Stump forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Stump is looking to take this one to the mat.
Nice body punch from Harris.
Stump tries to pull guard but Harris holds him up against the cage and eventually Stump drops back down to his feet.
Stump is breathing heavily.
Stump displaying some good clinch control by pressing Harris up against the cage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Harris tries to pull guard but Stump won't allow it.
Stump with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Stump ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stump no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Stump working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Stump looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Harris engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stump is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Stump is trying to keep Harris in close.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Harris moves out of range of the body kick from Stump.

Stump moves into the clinch.
Stump is trying to stall.
Stump lands an uppercut.
Stump tries to pull guard but Harris forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Stump is trying to trip Harris. He has hold of a leg but Harris is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Stump persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Harris pulls Stump in close to prevent any damage.
Harris controls Stump momentarily but Stump frees himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stump won't allow Harris to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jesse Stump will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Harris swats away the attempt to clinch by Stump.
Stump scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Stump tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stump tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Harris manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stump tries for a takedown but Harris sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Harris swats away the attempt to clinch by Stump.

Stump shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harris but Harris pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Stump takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Harris wants to clinch up but Stump keeps it at a distance.
Stump misses with a wild combination.
Harris is looking to counter the offense by Stump and move into the clinch.
Stump fails with a takedown attempt.
Stump shoots in and drives through. Harris sprawls well.
Harris wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Harris moves in looking to clinch but Stump pushes him off.
Harris is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Harris tries to close the distance and clinch but Stump swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Harris delivers a nice body kick.
Stump moves out of range as Harris throws a body kick.
And Stump tries to counter it with a takedown but Harris pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A head kick misses from Stump.
Stump looks for a takedown but Harris sprawls well.

Harris rushes Stump and presses him up against the cage.

Harris has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Stump uses from the top position.

Harris wants to get back to his feet but Stump is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jesse Stump has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stump throwing strikes from guard but Harris blocks nicely.
Harris wants to stand up but Stump is controlling him.
Stump is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Stump trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom.
Stump stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Harris working a defensive guard but Stump passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris is looking to control Stump's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Harris avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harris is trying to stand back up but Stump is controlling him
Stump blocks the strikes from Harris.
Harris is trying to maintain the position but Stump is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Stump wants to take a breather but Harris is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Stump is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Stump avoids the head kick by Harris.
Harris takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stump has a takedown stuffed.
Mac Harris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jesse Stump is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stump throws out a counter right but Harris avoids it with no problem.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mac Harris showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Stump has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
