Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Kalfic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Paw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmy Kalfic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bart Paw!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paw moves into the clinch successfully.
Kalfic wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Paw lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Kalfic pulls Paw into guard.
Kalfic trying to control the position.
Paw is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kalfic wants to sweep here but Paw controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paw controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Paw preventing the sweep.
Paw wants to control from the top but Kalfic keeps moving.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Paw shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kalfic as he avoids it easily.
Paw is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kalfic pushes Paw up against the cage in a clinch.
Paw tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kalfic is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Paw can't fight it off and eventually Kalfic manages to take the fight to the floor. Paw looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Our spies down at at Cozad The Island inform us that Paw has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Paw is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kalfic is pushing down on Paw's leg trying to pass to half guard. Paw is fighting to maintain full guard but Kalfic has managed to sneak the leg through.

Paw is not content to let Kalfic control the position.

Paw moves into full guard.
Kalfic forces his way into half guard.
Paw wants to improve his position but Kalfic is controlling well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kalfic is just content to waste time from the top position. Paw takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Paw looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kalfic is one step ahead there.

Kalfic gets to his feet - Paw follows without any prompting.
Paw goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Kalfic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paw manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Paw is looking to stand back up but Kalfic counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Paw.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Kalfic bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Paw is not content to let Kalfic control the position.
Paw struggling a bit here.

Jimmy Kalfic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kalfic remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Paw is looking to regain half guard here but Kalfic keeps moving and retains side control.

Kalfic is trying to get an arm triangle but Paw is defending well.
Paw is trying to get back to half guard.
Paw can't do much from the bottom here.
Paw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalfic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kalfic tries to advance to mount but Paw denies him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Paw is trying to control Kalfic's posture but Kalfic avoids it.
Kalfic has control of an arm but Paw manages to advance to Kalfic's back!
Paw controlling well, preventing Kalfic from escaping the position.
Kalfic is trying to get back to his feet but Paw has full control of the position and if anything, Kalfic has just worked his way into a worse spot.
You can see the frustration on Kalfic's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Kalfic wants to control his opponent's hands but Paw gets his hands free.

Kalfic is in bad spot here.
Paw trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Paw looking for the choke but no joy.
Paw is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Paw lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Kalfic is keeping busy.
Paw is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Kalfic up.
Kalfic tries to escape but Paw has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Kalfic trying to get back to his feet but Paw is in full control for now.

Bart Paw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Kalfic thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Paw if he has to take too many more of those.
Paw keeps the fight on the outside.
Paw looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kalfic is fending him off so far but Paw persists. Nope, Kalfic circles away and we're back to standing.
Kalfic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paw.

Paw shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kalfic napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fight stays on the outside here - Kalfic looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Paw shoots in for a takedown but Kalfic shows good takedown defense.

Kalfic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kalfic lands in his opponent's guard.

Kalfic bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paw's guard.

Paw looking for a sweep. Not yet Paw, not yet.
Kalfic is stalling in the full guard.
