Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Asaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Te Shudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Te Shudo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Asaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Te Shudo!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shudo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Asaki on the side of the head.
Asaki walks into a stiff left hand from Shudo.
Te Shudo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Asaki darts in and clinches Shudo up against the ropes.
Shudo trying to control the position but instead, Asaki has worked for underhooks and has pushed Shudo into the ropes.

Shudo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Asaki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shudo did well to prevent Asaki getting side control.

Shudo has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Asaki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shudo can do to turn this around?

BOOM! Asaki connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Shudo wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Asaki.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Shudo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Shudo is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Asaki tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shudo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Asaki somewhat.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Asaki has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shudo after a bit of a struggle.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Shudo is pressed up against the ropes. Asaki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shudo down to the mat. Shudo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Shudo cracks the inside of Asaki's front leg.

Shudo lands a left and a right that send Asaki crashing to the mat, dazed. Shudo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Asaki is rocked!
Shudo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Te Shudo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Asaki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
