Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neal Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrey Koreshkov!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koreshkov throws an off balance right hand
letting Diaz counter with a right hand.
Diaz closes the distance and clinches.
Koreshkov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Diaz throws a combination that misses
and Koreshkov counters with a shoot takedown. Diaz fights it but they end up in guard.
Koreshkov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Diaz trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz is striking but Koreshkov is not phased and passes to half guard.
Diaz trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Koreshkov manages to pass to mount!
Diaz is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Koreshkov has taken his back!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz is looking to escape but he's done so without protecting himself and Koreshkov manages to counter with a nice rear naked choke! Diaz is in trouble and he's forced to tap!
