Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Abramson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boris Slater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Abramson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abramson shoots in for a takedown but Slater shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Slater circles away from the clinch attempt
and Slater counters with a nice body shot.
Slater stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Slater wants it to stay on the feet.
Slater throws a quick counter head kick but Abramson was just out of range.
Ray Abramson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slater tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Abramson tries to clinch up.
Abramson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slater moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Abramson shoots in but no luck this time.

Abramson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Abramson throws a hook but Slater blocks it.
Abramson tries to clinch up but Slater circles away and keeps his distance.

Slater pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abramson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Slater defends well and Abramson ends up having to push Slater into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Slater throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Abramson was covering up waiting for the punch and Slater finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Abramson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Slater defends well.

Slater seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Abramson for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Slater throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Abramson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Slater is in Abramson's guard.
Slater really is a fat lump.
Abramson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Slater not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Slater shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Slater wants to work for an arm triangle but Abramson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boris Slater.
Well Slater has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
