Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Abrams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bubba Dee will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Abrams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Dee!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Abrams throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Abrams looks to land a left hand but Dee moved out of range nicely.
Dee blocks a head kick by Abrams.
Abrams could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Abrams fails to land the takedown.
Dee is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Dee darts in looking for a takedown but Abrams gets double underhooks and turns Dee into the cage.
Abrams lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Bubba Dee has been cut.
Abrams looks to score with a jab to the body but Dee is just out of range.
Dee throws a good cross that connects.


It looks like David Abrams has been cut.
Abrams slaps away a takedown attempt from Dee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A swing and a miss from Abrams.

Abrams clinches up against the cage.

Dee breaks from the clinch.
Dee fails with the takedown

and Abrams moves into the clinch.
David Abrams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba Dee.

Abrams tries to work over Dee's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Abrams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dee tries a head kick but it misses.
Dee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dee instigates a clinch.

Abrams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Abrams misses with a hook. Dee ducked under it nicely.
Dee looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Abrams looks to land a left hand but Dee moved out of range nicely.

Abrams gets a clinch.
Abrams lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dee backwards.
Abrams looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Abrams tries to pull guard but Dee won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Abrams after a bit of a struggle.
Abrams fails to pull guard.
Dee wants to break free but Abrams has control.
Abrams tries to work over Dee's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Dee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dee lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dee scores with a nice head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dee clinches.

Dee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Abrams tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dee fails with the takedown

and Abrams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Abrams.
The referee calls for Abrams to work.
Abrams prevents Dee from breaking the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dee has Abrams pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dee pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Abrams tumbling to the mat - Dee dives into Abrams's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Abrams manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Abrams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Abrams breaks the clinch.
Jab, jab by Dee - just one landing.
Abrams misses with a straight left.
Abrams takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Abrams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abrams is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dee to keep the fight standing.
Dee drops down looking for an ankle pick but Abrams pulls his leg out and moves away.

Abrams moves into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dee goes for a takedown attempt but Abrams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Abrams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dee wants to land a leg kick but Abrams is out of range.
Dee scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
David Abrams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dee gets a takedown into half guard.

Abrams manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Dee keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Abrams is breathing heavily.
Dee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Abrams fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Dee clinches.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Abrams wants a takedown but no success here.
Dee tries to score a body lock takedown but Abrams shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Abrams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dee just stands there and leans against the cage.
Dee lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


Abrams is rocked!

Dee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dee closes the distance and clinches.
Dee prevents the takedown attempt.
Dee tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Abrams stops a takedown attempt from Dee.

Dee jumps into guard, dragging Abrams to the mat.
Dee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Abrams is one step ahead there.
Abrams in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Abrams is looking to work some ground and pound but Dee has wrist control.
Dee wants to sweep but no luck.
Abrams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Abrams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Abrams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dee trying to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dee motions for Abrams to come forward. Dee throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Abrams tries to clinch up

and Dee counters with a crisp right hand that drops Abrams! Dee lets Abrams back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Abrams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!


David Abrams's cut is getting worse.
Abrams is holding his hands too far apart here. Dee throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Abrams is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bubba Dee!
